Arizona Light Chemical Peels

Light chemical peels use trichloroacetic acid to penetrate the upper layers of the epidermis in order to reduce the appearance of freckles and fine lines on the face. Because a lighter dosage is used than in other types of chemical peels, this procedure normally creates very little post-peel redness and is virtually pain-free.

In fact, most other chemical treatments require the use of a topical anesthetic to minimize the tingling, burning sensations caused by the treatments. However, anesthetic is not necessary with a light peel. The results are long-lasting and immediately noticeable. Some clients may need to come in for additional treatments later to maintain the effect, but for others, the results are permanent. It all depends on the extent of the damage the procedure is intended to correct.

Light Chemical Peels Correct Minor Damage to the Facial Skin

In addition to light treatments, there are also medium and deep peels. The type of procedure someone chooses will depend on the area to be treated and the specific conditions that are to be addressed. Medium and deep peels may cause more discomfort during the procedure and require a longer recovery time. However, these effects are only temporary and are almost never severe.
