Restylane fillers are second only to Botox in popularity as wrinkle reducers. Restylane uses natural hyaluronic acid to fill in sagging sub-dermal layers within the skin. Hyaluronic acid makes up the base of the epidermis, underlying collagen and all of the dermal and sub-dermal layers. When natural hyaluronic acid dissipates with time, it can cause internal sagging that leads to external wrinkles.

This brand of cosmetic filler is frequently used on laugh lines around the lips, and it can also be used to make lips look fuller. The filler can be used to erase crow's feet and smooth out wrinkles in the forehead. The cost for this type of treatment tends to be more reasonable than other, more advanced procedures.   • Arrive at the clinic or medical spa with a clean, freshly washed face and no makeup.
  • Discuss your expectations for the procedure with your doctor or clinical aesthetician.
  • Close your eyes, sit back and relax while the injection is being administered. It is usually not painful.
  • Return every four to six months for additional injections to maintain the desired look.
