Restylane side effects are rare, and they are typically mild when they do occur. Also, any injection runs the risk of producing the side effect of an injection-site reaction. This type of reaction can appear a day or two after the injection and results in swelling and intense itching at the site. Like other potential side effects, this tends to go away within a day or so.
